Last week Grade 0 organised the Pyjama Day for the whole Preschool. That was their Final Assessment, which was later evaluated by the teachers and students themselves. First, the children had to pick the theme for the party, decide what decorations will be best for that occasion, think of activities for other groups, plan those activities in time, write the invitations and design a poster, write an email to parents asking for some help, and the most important, divide all of the tasks between themselves! Grade 0 did amazing job, as the whole Preschool was having an amazing time. Of course, the best part was the grand finale- lying down in pyjamas, in beds, under blankets and on pillows, watching the movie together (;

Last Wednesday Senior Group had classes in Hewelianum Center. During the classes they have learned what the Cosmos is, how many planets we have in our Solar System and what is the stellar constellation. The final task for the children was to build a rocket. What an awesome day!

Before the Christmas break, our preschoolers have prepared a concert and Christmas workshops for their parents. There was singing, a little bit of dancing, clapping, tapping, jumping, sticking, creating, writing, playing, eating, talking and all of the other things that we can do together during the Christmas time!

Because of the St. Nicolas Day our preschoolers went on a trip to Santa's Village in Drzewina. They could visit some real animals there, meet the most important Reindeer- the commander of Santa's Reindeer Team, make their own Christmas decorations and talk with the real Santa Claus! That was an amazing day!

The Festival of Light was held in our school on November 28th. We started our adventure with pouring wax to predict our future. ISG students and their parents had the opportunity to learn about the legend of Saint Lucy, Diwali, Hanukkah, Advent, Saint Martin's legend, Saint Andrew, Chinese New Year, Japanese Festival of Lights (Obon),Superheroes who use light, the best Christmas light decorations around the world, party lights, photosynthesis and the optic illusion. Each grade prepared something special for their guests like games, quizzes and other surprises. The Shadow Theatre was prepared by EISG pupils and with the laser show were the culmination of the Festival. In the end we lit sparklers in front of our school together.
